Asset finance

Keep your business moving

Work utes, trucks, trailers, machinery and equipment — I'll help you explore finance options and repayment structures that suit your business and your cash flow.

When I ran Cockles Café, equipment was never optional. When the coffee machine or the fridge goes, you need a replacement — fast — without emptying the bank account. That's what asset finance is about: getting the tools your business needs while keeping cash available for everything else.

What I can help finance

Business vehicles and work utes

Utes, vans, cars and fleet vehicles for tradies, service businesses and everyone in between.

Trucks and trailers

Light and heavy trucks, trailers, tippers and transport equipment.

Machinery and equipment

Earthmoving, construction, agricultural, hospitality, medical, fitness and workshop equipment.

Personal vehicles and personal loans

Car loans and personal loans for things like a family car, caravan or boat, where suitable for your circumstances.

Finding a structure that suits you

There are different ways to finance an asset, and lenders offer different terms. Together we'll consider things like:

  • The loan term — matching it sensibly to how long you expect to use the asset
  • Deposit or trade-in — and how it affects your repayments
  • A balloon or residual payment — which can lower regular repayments but leaves a lump sum to pay at the end
  • Repayment timing — so repayments line up with how money comes into your business
  • Total cost — interest, fees and charges over the life of the finance, not just the monthly repayment

I'll explain the options and the reasons behind my recommendation, so you can choose with confidence.

A note on tax

The way an asset is financed can have tax implications for your business. I don't give tax advice or recommend a finance structure purely on tax grounds. Please talk with your accountant about the tax side — I'm happy to work alongside them.

What you might need

Requirements vary by lender, the asset and the amount. You may be asked for details of the asset (such as a dealer invoice or private sale details), your ABN and business details, and in some cases financial statements, tax returns or bank statements. I'll let you know exactly what's needed for your situation.

Good to know: All finance is subject to lender assessment, terms and conditions.
