Home Buyer Roadmap
Your home loan journey
Thirteen simple steps from that very first phone call to the moment the keys land in your hand.
No guesswork. No silence. Updates every Wednesday & Friday.
From the first call to your first repayment
Here's exactly what happens, and when. You'll always know where things are at.
-
Step 1
The first call
A relaxed chat about where you are now and where you want to be. No jargon, no pressure — just your goals on the table.
-
Step 2
Your welcome pack lands
Your digital fact find and document checklist are emailed through, along with our privacy statement and welcome pack. Fill it in from the couch.
-
Step 3
Options on the table
We meet in person or on Teams and walk you through your options — pre-approval, refinance, or an investment strategy built around you.
-
Step 4
Behind the scenes
We prepare your application, package your story properly, and match it to the lender most likely to say yes.
-
Step 5
Proposal & signing
Your finance proposal and lender documents are issued for you to review and sign. Everything is explained before you put pen to paper.
-
Step 6
Lodged with the lender
Your application goes in. You get an SMS straight away with the lender's expected assessment timeframes, so you know exactly what to expect.
-
Step 7
Wednesday & Friday check-ins
Twice a week, every week, we send an SMS or email update on your application's progress. No chasing us. No wondering.
-
Step 8
Approval day
Your lender issues your approval or pre-approval. If it's a full approval — congratulations, that's the big one!
Pre-approval? You've got 90 days. Go shopping with confidence — your pre-approval is valid for 90 days to find and purchase your property. If you haven't bought within that window, we simply lodge a fresh application with your updated details. No drama, no starting from scratch. -
Step 9
We tell the team
We email your conveyancer and real estate agent to confirm your approval, so everyone is moving in the same direction.
-
Step 10
Loan docs & account setup
Loan documents are issued for signing. Your offset account and repayment accounts are confirmed within the lender documents.
-
Step 11
Your conveyancer steps in
Your conveyancer now liaises with you and the lender to confirm settlement and the transfer of your deposit.
-
Step 12
Settlement day
All funds are transferred to the required parties, the property is officially yours — and you get the keys.
-
Step 13
Your first repayment
Your first repayment falls due in line with your agreed repayment schedule. And we're still here whenever you need us.
